We took the midnight bus to Santiago from La Serena and arrived at 7:30 a.m.
We spent about 40 minutes in the subway just waiting for a car with enough room to squeeze into.
We walked the streets for a while, climbed Santa Lucía Hill, freshened up in the lobby bathrooms of the very posh, Gringo infested Hotel San Francisco, and McDonald's, then taxied over to the ambassador's mansion.
We were hungry! The food was very American and super good. The company was even better
